Happy Birthday KATELEE

On Saturday it was just like any normal Saturday. Kyle woke up at 6 and went to work. I got up at 8 and went to the Gym around 9. I did my normal work out but then Kyle texted me and Marsha asked him to stay an extra hour so I decided to stay and do the Zumba class. When I got home Kyle said hurry and get ready we're going down to Mesquite. I told him we didn't need to but when he sets his mind on something he doesn't budge. The family was celebrating Katelee's 2nd B-day. We weren't planning on going because we were just down for Spring Break and we were planning on going down a lot in April so we wanted to save on gas money and we had a lot that we needed to get done. I was pretty happy that Kyle said we could go. :) He always makes my day.
We got there a little late but that was OK. When we got to the park and Katelee saw us she was so funny...she ran around screaming. I wish I could of gotten it on video. Katelee LOVES Kyle!!! She is always so excited to see him and everytime I see that Abigail is calling me it's really Katelee wanting to talk to Kyle. I answer the phone and say hi and she just says, "KYLE" "KYLE". It's always so cute :)

Katelee doesn't quite understand the value of "paper money" she'd rather have a handful of pennies :)

She wanted her bow in that back and that's how she would fix it.

We spent the day with the family, but unfortunately needed to get home. We stopped in St. George for dinner and ate at Pita Express. We like to be adventurous sometimes and eat at new places. It was really good food but kind of pricey for what we had. So that was a one time deal.
We stopped at Wal-Mart to get Sunday dinner makings. We got a roast and some rolls. I was kind of nervous about this dinner because it was the 1st time I cooked for Kyle's parents. They always have yummy food so I had a lot to live up to.
When we got home this is what our clocked looked like....I was so sad...I LOVE this clock. The glass all blew out and it was everywhere. Thankfully we know that no one broke in but we have no idea how this happened. We just took all the glass out and it still looks ok and works.

Oh, by the way it was really nice getting to spend the day with Randall and Lori (Kyle's Parents) on Sunday. They had been in Salt Lake for a wedding. We had yummy twice baked potatoes, roast, rolls, corn and cucumber salad. They brought desert from a pastry place in SLC. The things they brought were delicious. The pasteries were featured on The Best Thing I Ever Ate on the food network. We went to church, ate, and watched some March Madness Basketball. :) My teams won by the way.

Spring Break

Kyle had Spring Break March 12-16. We headed down to the nice SUNNY weather in Nevada. We got up early Saturday morning and went fishing (for a boat ride) on Lake Mead. Unfortunately we didn't catch anything but it was good to get out and spend some family time together. Plus, Kyle LOVES fishing so it was a good morning.

We spent the rest of the day chillin' and getting our laundry done. I love that we have scholarship housing but don't have a washer ior dryer having to use a coin-op is ridiculous. We started to use a laundry mat because our clothes weren't getting dry but that was getting expensive. Once in awhile we use Hannah's but I hate imposing all the time. So it was nice to be able to get it all done in one day. :) Then Sunday we headed to Mesquite and went to church with Abigail and Walter. After church we went out to my parent's house and had Sunday Dinner and then on the way back into town we stopped at Junior's house for a bit. Then Kyle and I headed to his Grandma's Condo. It's nice to have that as an option. Then Monday morning we both had the day off. I had a Dentist appointment at 7 and then we got ready for the day. Got some breakfast and went to the bank to pay off part of a loan and then headed to the insurance company so I could make Kyle my beneficiary for my life policy. We then headed to Abigail and Walter's and watched Katelee for the afternoon. We went for a walk te park. It was such a nice day...I love the sunshine. Katelee loved the slide and we saw a turtle in the pond and that's all she would talk about on the way back to the house.

After Walter got home we went to St. George. Cameron and Kelsey were staying at a family condo for the weekend and we had dinner with them and some other friends. The boys went to play racquetball and the girls watched the final episode of The Bachelor. I was really disappointed in the season so I didn't care about who the last girl was. We went to Bed Bath and Beyond and got some things we needed with a couple of our gift cards. We then headed back up to Cedar. We had a good weekend but it went by too fast. Kyle then worked 3 days of the week and only had one day to stay at home and get some things done. Saturday we went to St.George with the family and did a session and then went to eat at Olive Garden.

Saturday morning I got a bountiful basket and we had lots of tomatoes so Sunday before church Kyle and I made some salsa.

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss
At work this whole week we celebrated Dr. Seuss. We had lots of fun things for the kids at school during the week. A lot of the teachers did some really fun activities with their classes. They got to make blue jello cups and put swedish fish in them for One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish. On Friday most of the elementary schools were letting their kids have PJ day so we decided to have a PJ day too so I wore some PJs to work. Then Carlene had a birthday cake ordered from Lin's so we got to have cake too. That day was pretty good...I had like 3 pieces of cake! And Thursday I had like 1/2 a bag of left over fish :)
They don't look green but they are and you can see the ham in there too
That night I made some green eggs and ham. At first Kyle wouldn't eat the eggs because they were green (aka a VV color) But then he started quoting the book and said if I quoted the book with him then he would eat them.

Us...

Happy Valentine's Day

Kyle's Basketball Game

Kyle has been playing on an inter-mural basketball team with some guys from work...
I was bored just sitting there and was playing fruit ninja until I kept losing, so I started taking some pictures from it...Here are some of the pictures from the night. The game was pretty intense. This was the first game his team won. They were up pretty far about 10-15 points but then the other team started to come back. And they did the very last minute. Kyle's team was losing and as the buzzer went off one of his teammates tipped the ball in to go into over time. It was funny to listen to the other wives yelling at the refs. They were pretty protective of their husbands. It made me laugh at how vocal they were. I got a video of Kyle scoring and a couple pictures from the night.
Water Break

Everyone is so happy after winning :)

SNOW...

Kyle has been looking at Physical Therapy schools that are relatively close to Nevada, But the other day he said we're going somewhere where it DOES NOT SNOW. I agreed with him full heartily and now I'm saying we're definitely going somewhere that white stuff doesn't fall from the sky. I like the snow as long as I don't have to be in it. So, when I have to walk, drive and especially clean my car off 6 times a day it's not fun and I don't like it.
Yesterday, when we got done with church is when it all started...I was in a good mood because we had just had an uplifting lesson in Relief Society and as I walked out of the RS room Kyle was waiting for me and all he had to do was point to the doors and I saw that white stuff everywhere and coming down like crazy...Not to mention it's supposed to be like this pretty much all week. That's when this damper mood started.
I shouldn't complain but I'm sick of snow here in Cedar when it's 60-70 degrees in Nevada.

Also....I got another calling as a ward pianist. I won't have to play that often but we had a meeting last night and there is someone who's willing to give organ lessons so I think I'm going to try it out. :)

What we've been up to...

What we've been up to...
We have been doing really well. Nothing too exciting, just usual day stuff except on weekends. A normal day goes as following...
5:30 Kyle gets up for work
5:40 Naomi gets up for prayers and to send Kyle off to work.
6:00 Kyle goes to work, Naomi goes back to sleep or the gym (depending on the day) :)
Kyle works mornings from about 6-9 and then goes to school all day. He also volunteers at Turn once a week and then gets about 4 hours of Physical Therapy shadowing during the week.
7:30 or 8:30 Naomi goes to work
4:30 or 5:30 Naomi gets off work
5:30-7:00 We make dinner and eat
7:00- 10:30 Depending on the day we watch TV, Kyle has inter-mural basketball games, Kyle studies and does homework. We do have other things going on but that's what we usually do.

Some other things that have gone on...

Jan 28. Our Stake had a cool Saturday planned for everyone. It was a Marriage Symposium. We started off with breakfast and then listened to 3 speakers and they did a texting thing. Then they had The Garden House cater lunch and it was so yummy. After that Kyle went home and we took a nap. Kyle had to be to work at 5:30 So we could go to the symposium at 8:30 and I can always sleep. We then worked on our talks for Sunday. I talked on being a student of the gospel and Kyle talked about being favored of the Lord.

We got a combined calling for church as Gospel Doctrine Teachers. We were glad that we get to do it together and it'll be fun to study the scriptures together. Plus, it's only going to be once a month so that's even better :)

We got to go home (to Mesquite and Overton) Feb. 3. It was so nice to get out of the cold weather and see some REAL sunshine. Friday night we went to the basketball games. (VV Varsity boys and girls both won) Then Saturday Kyle, Randall, Mitch and I went and played Tennis at the high school. I really stink at it but they were all nice and didn't laugh at me. That was pretty much the first time I had played to. Kyle was a champ and jogged back to his parents house with me. We then went to Mesquite and hung out with my family and had dinner and then played games. Sunday we got to sleep in and then went to church. Kyle's whole extended family came over for the Super Bowl and we had a yummy lunch. They always have good food :) We started for Cedar with his friend Dallin before the game was over and just listened to it on the Radio. The Giants won but I can't remember the score. We had a really great relaxing weekend.
