Compliments :)

I am a person who is very aware of all my imperfections. I don't need others to remind me of them, because I beat myself up enough without others telling me what I'm doing wrong. Anyways, I get to go to ward council EVERY Sunday morning at 8:30. Luckily, we usually get done pretty early with it being summer and all. Today was one of those days where I had some extra time before church started. I sat down and started thinking about all the dumb things I do and of course started to get down. Me+extra time= not good. (I'm selfish, prideful, lazy, and let my fears get to me)  I decided I better do something to change my mind set...and started reading from the new May Ensign. After that Brother Green the High Counselor for our ward came up and said just the right thing that I needed to hear. He said that he was really impressed with all the things I was doing and the work I had been doing for the ward. It didn't matter if I was around a camp fire or in testimony meeting. I was a hard worker and had a good head on my shoulders. He thanked me and was sincere about his compliment. This all got me thinking that I need to thank those people who help me and try so hard to do what is right. I also need to give real SPECIFIC compliments and not just those superficial little things that I usually give to people. I'm so thankful for Brother Green. I don't know what made him come talk to me (maybe the spirit) but he made me feel so much better and helped me get through the day. :) So, if you're one of the few people who may actually be reading this make someones day and give them a REAL compliment an thank those people who help you! You just might make their day :)

5-23-2011 This last week

I love weeks like this last week that I had. I finally finished reading The Book of Mormon again!!! My work schedule was really easy at the preschool (I had Wednesday off) and I worked 3 graves at the call center. Other than work I actually went to the gym and it was so nice to take my time there each day. I even went to Zumba on Tuesday. Oh, I am getting ahead of myself....
Monday- Work and then FHE. For FHE we went out to 3 Peaks and had a dutch oven dinner. I love dutch oven but something that drives me nuts is they always say that we're going to eat at a certain time and it's NEVER ready. We were sopposed to eat at 7:00 and didn't till like 8:00 and it was freezing that night. Then they didn't make enough for everyone so I felt so bad for those who didn't get any. I decided on Monday that I really love my new Bishop. His name is Tony Barney...He is one of the most chill guys that I have ever met but when it's time to work he works REALLY hard. He and our 1st councelor had this great idea that they wanted to make me a bow and arrow...so of course they did. I was really impressed with what they did. They even got technical with everything and even wanted wax for the string and asked if I had any chapstick...(of course I did...I always have some in my car) We then went out to shoot it. I really couldn't but Bishop sure could...he was amazing. We had a theme, "Journey to the Promised Land." We had to do a bunch of different things. We also had to build/make a boat and float it across the sea, (a little kid swimming pool)  shoot our "dinner" and get to the tree of life.
Tuesday-I went to the gym and then just work. Zumba and then I came home made some food and watched One Tree Hill...I think that's all I did that day. Oh I worked the graveyard this night too.
Wednesday- I had the day off well after 6...I slept in and when I woke up it was SNOWING like crazy outside. I then went to the gym and ran/jogged a little over 3 miles and lifted. Came home cleaned my room up and even did laundry and washed my bed. After my sheets were dry I put them right on my bed and crawled in for a nice cozy nap. I love it when clean laundry comes right out of the dryer. It's one of my favorite things! Woke up and I had a staff meeting at 6:30 and right after that I went out with a friend to some other friend's house to have cobbler. It was so yummy...We just talked and hung out and then I worked another graveyard.
This was out my front door

Thursday- Work, gym, and more work. Oh Jessica came home and started moving out :( We had a night relief society meeting. The theme was a garden party. I loved the set up and decorations. The tables had flowers on them in these cute pitcher vases. It was so pretty. I also got to talk about the singles wards and my expreience with visiting teaching and stuff...I'm starting to get used to this whole talking thing. :) It's not as scary as it used to be.
Friday- Work, then Worked and then went to the gym and then went back to work...(that's all I ever do if you can't tell) Then one of my BEST friends Dahlen came and hung out with me. I made some dinner then we headed over to an institute dance. I felt so bad because he really didn't want to and I made him come with me. There wasn't anyone even there either so it was kinda weird. It was fun to see some friends from Cedar there...Since I was never on campus this last semester I never got to see anyone. We then went and watched a movie and I fell asleep. I felt bad for falling asleep too, but I hadn't really slept in the last 3 days and was all tuckered out.
Saturday-Picked up my bountiful basket, just hung out and then Austin stopped by and we chatted for awhile. I love just talking to friends...It's another one of my favorite things, especially with guys because there's never gossip or drama with them. I went to work and Dahlen went up to see his sister...that was the whole day.
Sunday-Church meetings for 6 hours and I got asked to talk in church. I swear I'm a magnet for talking that's 3 time in 3 weeks!!! (atleast I have awhile to prepare for it) Then I went home to my mom's and had lunch and took a nap!!! I love Sunday naps...Abigail and Walter came out for awhile and then Jared and I just hung out together...I had about 45 mins of him not being a pest...It was glorious! But that's not counting him shooting me with my bow and arrow, sitting on me, tickling me, BITING me and pesting a friend on facebook.
Monday/Today- I finally finished my invisalign treatment so they took the grooves off my teeth...I would say I'm a pretty tough person most of the time but while the assistant was taking them off it sounded like nails scratching a chalkboard and I have REALLY sensitive teeth so I wanted to cry the whole time. I was cringing the whole time and at one point I wanted her to just numb me so I wouldn't feel anything. I'm so HAPPY they are off now. My teeth are smooth again. I love the feeling, but they aren't going to stay like this for long. I had to get new impressions sent to the lab to get a couple more trays to do some touch up on them before I'm totally finished. I then went and got to babysit Katelee. She's the cutest little girl ever and it was fun to play with her. She had been teething so she had a fever but for about an hour she was really happy. I then went to the eye doctor and had an exam. Luckily my eyes haven't changed and I got new contacts ordered. Picked Jared up from school and went back over to Abigail's. Then when my mom got there we went to Farmers and I now have life insurance that I get to pay for. Came back up to Cedar and now I should be getting off work any minute. :)

California Trip

This last week has been quite the adventure. Monday I worked 6-8 AM at Discovery Clubhouse then 8-11:35 subbing the kindergarten class I student taught with. I had forgotten what a handful that some of those kids could be. I hope if and when I get my own class they aren't that challenging. After that I ran to the store to get some food, got gas and got a load of laundry done so I would have clothes for my trip. I then went to work at the call center 2-10. What a day huh, well then I still had to come home and pack and packing and unpacking are two things that I don't think I'll ever enjoy. I don't even remember what time I finally got to sleep but I do know I fell asleep pretty fast. It had been a long day. Then Tuesday I subbed in the morning again. Came home paid my rent and loaded up the car and headed to California with one of my roommates, Allison. We both graduated and wanted to have a vacation together to celebrate. Plus, she's moving up to Orem so I doubt I'll get to see her anymore. Well the trip was pretty long, but I guess that it was our fault. I didn't realize that I-15 split and we somehow got on I-215. Yeah, I know it's like common sense but I had no idea where we were going so... We had a little detour. :) We did make it to our motel just fine though after we stopped at a McDonald's. I don't like McDonald's but they came to the rescue with their free Wi-Fi. haha
On Wednesday got up had breakfast, made a lunch/snacks and got a ride to CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE!!! Allison's, sister Julie was there for part of the day so we met her and went on our first ride. We went on Soaring Over California. It was one of my favorites...I really like the roller coasters the best. Screamin, and Space Mountain. I also liked Tower of Terror. The first time we went on it I screamed because it scared me and I had no idea what to expect. :) We stayed in California adventure for most of the day but then Julie wanted to go on a couple rides in Disneyland before she had to catch her plane so we spent a couple hours there. Then at 8 we headed back over to California Adventure to watch World of Color water show. It was pretty awesome. It was pretty much like the Bellagio water show in Vegas but something I liked about it was that they would show scences from movies on a big water screen. I didn't get any good pictures of it though. But I did video part of the first song. When we finally got home/to the motel I was so tired it had been an exciting day but I was ready for bed.

Here are some of the pictures of the day.... sorry they're not in order

Mickey let me drive his car :)

The standard picture before you walk in

I tried to pull the sword out but of course I couldn't

On it's a small world

After the show

We stopped at the tallest thermometer in Baker

This was one picture from the World Of Color...I couldn't get any good pictures.

Having a tea party at Minnie's House

Minnie sure is short...her bed was tiny :)

This was actually the first picture we took...we originally wanted one with Woody but he left and
so we got one with Jesse but we were still glad to see them.
This is a ridiculous picture but it's the only one I had of Mr. Incredible...Here ya go Hannah..
I found my Mr. Incredible in California and he even has blonde hair...I'm not sure if he is a surfer though.
Yeah, another dumb silly picture
Ha Ha, this picture just makes me laugh. The Jack Sparrow was a really funny guy!
Getting ready for the Captain EO show

You better watch out Minnie...you have some serious competition here. :)

Day 2
We had Magic Morning Passes into Disneyland so we were there early and left at 2:00 ish and then went to the ocean in Huntington. Oh man, the Ocean/Beach was stinkin cold and I put my feet in the water and was done. Allison was REALLY brave and actually swam. It looked like fun but I HATE cold water so I wasn't about to go out there. We then went and ate dinner and went swimming in our motel's HEATED swimming pool till it closed at 10.
Here I am at Huntington Beach. It was really cold and windy...haha look at my awesome tan line.
 Day 3
We went and rode the new Nemo ride in Disneyland and then headed over to California and went on all the fun rides there and also so the Aladdin Show. It was really good and funny. We then headed up towards L.A. We stopped at the Temple for about an hour and then went to Hollywood Blvd. We saw the Hollywood sign but wanted to later get a better picture but it was dark by the time we got around to it and then I was really dissapointed because it was dark and wasn't lit up. We stopped at the Chinese theater and saw all the hand and feet prints and of course all the stars with names on the street. Here are a couple of some of the people who I actually knew. I have a ton of pictures but am not going to put them all on here.

I love these grounds they are gorgeous!

So many amazing flowers everywhere!!!

Hollywood Blvd.

This is a tribute to Ms. Congeniality one of the funniest movies

She's in one of my other favorite movies...The best movie quote ever is..."Why would you wanna marry me anyhow?
So, I can kiss you anytime I want."

This one if for you HANNAH!! :)

Chinese Theater where they have all the hand and footprints.

This is the best picture we got...we wanted to get a closer one later but by the time we got around to it, it was dark
and I was really disappointed that they didn't have it lit up.
Day 4...
We packed up, ate breakfast and headed home. We stopped at a Marshall's and then at Abigail's to use the bathroom and she fed us some food...Thanks!
I'm so glad to be back in Cedar...even if it is colder and windy.
After church Allison packed up her car and went home to Orem...I'm going to miss living with her. She is such a sweetheart. It was to just spend some time with her because I'm sure we won't get to see each other much anymore.
This is a bad picture of me,but oh well....haha I need to go swimming my tan line is just so lovely!
Church was really good, but I loved the Fireside we had...We had a personal trainer come talk to us and I love that kinda stuff about health and all the cool statistics... You don't want me to get on my soapbox, just ask my family. :) She also talked about being spiritually fit and healthy. I had such a good week. Now it's time to get back to "normal" life.

Tuesday 5-3-11

I don't know what to think about life anymore. At one point I think I have everything figured out, but then something makes me realize that I don't know ANYTHING.
I feel like I'm in a mid-life crisis. I don't know what I want to do with my life. I'm GRADUATING this week...I don't have a "job" and growing up terrifies me. School was so easy... It would be nice to have a glimpse of how everything will turn out. There are a lot of good things that I know that I could do but when you have so many choices it's hard to decide.
We got a new bishop this last Sunday and I got to talk to him tonight. We had a good little chat and I have a lot of work to do and need to step up on the responsibilities as the Relief Society President. I just hope that I can do the things that I am sopposed to. :) It'll be a good adveture and I'm ready for it! I have been promised things and hope that I can keep my end of the "deal".
On a totally different subject...I'M GOING TO DISNEYLAND IN A WEEK! I GRADUATE FROM COLLEGE IN 3-4 DAYS AND I'M TALKING AT MY INSTITUTE GRADUATION IN 2 DAYS...
