Kyle's FAMOUS

I would never just post pictures of an actor off of the Twilight movies but there is a reason and purpose for this. These pictures are of the actor who plays Seth Clearwater- one of the wolves from the movie.
So here's the story behind these pictures...

This last weekend we went to my cousin David's funeral in Lehi, Utah. Kyle and I were sitting in the back and Kyle noticed this girl who kept looking  behind her shoulder at him. She would look at him then whisper to the guy she was with, nod her head and look back at him. When the services were over this girl (who by the way isn't just a teenage girl. She had to be in her 20's) came up to Kyle and said, I'm sorry I kept staring at you but you look so familiar. I couldn't figure out where I'd seen you and then it hit me (When she said that I was thinking oh, this must be someone he went to school with earlier...but that's not what she said at all) You're one of the wolves off of the Twilight movies huh." Kyle didn't know what to say...he should have played a long but he just said, "no, that wasn't me." There was an awkward silence and I bet the girl felt pretty silly but she just said, "oh well think of it as a compliment, He's famous and really cute."
Just so everyone knows my fiance is a celebrity :)
When we got back to Cedar that night we had to look up who the girl was talking about and we figured he resembled Seth the most.

October FUN

Kyle "gutting" our first practice pumpkin for the carving contest

Both of us together...I love pictures when I'm with Kyle. He makes me look so much better :)

Tyson and Hannah came over for FHE to carve pumpkins with us

Our 1st pumpkin...the final one was so much better. But this was a good practice one

Our MUMMY HOTDOGS...we made these for lunch one day

Our final pumpkin that we made for the annual pumpkin carving contest that Lori does :)

Our Mike Wazowski all lit up

Kayla and Travis' Jack Skeleton and Tiffany's Minnie

Travis, Kyle's brother proposed to Kayla while we were carving the pumpkins. He hid the ring in the pumpkin so when Kayla opened it she thought she had won a prize or something...she won Travis's heart that's for sure :) It was such a surprise because no one was expecting it yet....even though we knew he had a ring. We are so happy for Travis and Kayla
The magic mirror by Mike and the Captain Hook by Cameron and Kelsey
Boo by Jen and Mike by Kyle and Naomi
Us with our pumpkin :) By the way we did WIN
The Mickey mouse pumpkin by Lori and Randall and Minnie Mouse by Tiffany

Lori put so much into the contest and the party that we had...THANKS for EVERYTHING. :) It was fun to see what everyone else came up with. They were all really good. Eating the festive dinner was so yummy and we love visiting.

Before the party we went out shooting...This is my good lookin'  fiance shooting
We left early but it was also Homecoming for Lindsay. This is her and her date Brayden Geary.

I
I took a lot of these pictures off of Jen's facebook but I really loved this picture so I wanted to add it in. I wish we didn't have to leave early.

Engagement Pictures

On Friday the 14th we went down to Overton because Virgin Valley was playing Moapa for the big rivalry football game. Kyle's parents were really generous and also invited my whole family to have dinner at their house before the game. We won't mention the score (18-0) but Moapa did win. Jared had a really good game with a lot of tackles. And of course Lindsay was cheering so it was fun to watch her. After the game we went over to Robin and Geniel's to try on Cydney's wedding dress. I loved the dress the first time I saw it and luckily the dress fit and only needs a little bit of altering.
Saturday Bailey was really awesome and took our engagement pictures. It was fun and we were really happy with what we got.
Here are some of our favorites :)

My Birthday Week

Kyle said that when it's his birthday in April he wants a birthday week so for my birthday he gave me a birthday week. It started on the Sunday before my birthday and ended on the Sunday after. We went to conference the first Sunday morning. Then on Monday Kyle got me Ice Cream and I got to eat as much as I wanted and we watched Thor. Then Tuesday he gave me my "big" present because I guessed what it was. Plus, we needed to use it to make salsa. He got me a dicer/chopper. By the way, I love it. It saves so much time and makes things so much easier. Then on Wednesday and Thursday....can't remember what we did, but I will put it in here when I do. Friday was the DAY though . I went to work and Carlene had put this sign up in the office and everyone there told me Happy Birthday. The kiddos were so cute and all came and gave me hugs.
The sign that was up at work

Talking to Thomas on the phone

My yummy ice cream cake

After Work I went over to Kyle's for a bit and then came home and my family came to surprise me for my birthday. They took us out to Cafe Rio. We then went to Hannah and Tyson's because Kyle got me an Ice Cream cake from Dairy Queen. I've always wanted one of those. He spoils me so much. They sang and I talked to Thomas for a bit. Saturday we went to a garage sale and my mom bought a bedroom set and later that day we watched Tron. Sunday we went to church and then made spicy sezcaun (seshwon) Pork and went over to Cameron and Kelsey's and had an Oriental feast. :) Then they gave me a movie and pop corn. They are so nice and we love going over to their house.
My Granny sent me a card and Lori and Randall also sent a card with a gift card to Kohl's :)

Conference Weekend

Kyle was awesome and got us tickets (with his dad's help)  to Sunday morning session to Conference. I told him  some time during the summer that's what I wanted for my birthday so he tried his hardest to get some.
We left Friday around 5 and stopped in Springville to see Layne and Rose and had some YUMMY dutch oven.
We then went to Kyle aunt and uncle's house to stay the night and to meet his aunt Linda. We visited for awhile and then started to watch How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. I fell asleep in the first 20 mins. I always fall asleep and feel bad for Kyle. We got up and helped his aunt pick tomatoes and then watched the morning session. We then went to the Talbot's house to help start lunch and watch the afternoon session. We ate lunch/dinner and then the boys went to priesthood session. I just talked to Rose and Von and helped clean up the kitchen. After that the boys got back and Kyle and I went to look at the new temple in South Jordan, Oquirrh Hills. While we were there I called Bailey about our engagment pictures and then my dad called. He was in West Jordan so we went and visited with him for an hour.
Sunday morning we went to Conference and then ate lunch and walked around Temple Square. We met up with Von and watched the last session. Went back to the Talbots and headed home. We are so grateful for family and all their hospitality to make sure we are taken care of. Kyle's aunt sent us home with tomatoes and onions from her garden and Layne and Rose sent us home with lots of my FAVORITE bread :)

I know you're not supposed to have favorites but I LOVED Sister Dalton's talk. I am so blessed to have an AWESOME father. He is so loving and makes sure I am always ok. I love his calls and getting to spend time with him. I am also so grateful to be marrying Kyle. I know he will be the best dad ever. During the talk I felt so blessed and peaceful. Kyle is so amazing. I see him interacting with the kids where I work and they love to see him. They love him more than me....sad I know. I can't wait to have a family with him. He has so many desires and hopes for when he is a dad. I know he will take care of our children and LOVE them.
Kyle made me stop so he could take a picture

LOVE IT

Our first road trip...not counting to Overton and Mesquite

OUR ENGAGEMENT STORY

This is the story of how Kyle proposed to Naomi…

Written by Naomi and added remarks by Kyle.

I knew Kyle had ordered a ring…he can’t keep secrets from me (I try to but Naomi’s just too persuasive). This was at the end of August and he wasn’t expecting to get the ring until about October-ish but his amazing Uncle Robin went to Vegas and picked it up so we didn’t have to wait for them to ship it. Like I said, he can’t keep secrets (can too). He told me that Robin had picked it up because he was so excited. We got the band and his parents had helped out and ordered the center diamond. We thought we were getting a pretty good deal on the center diamond but it wasn’t what we were expecting so they sent it back. The clarity and coloration weren’t what we wanted(The diamond was actually Yellow).  So then, Kyle’s awesome parents went to Vegas to look at a diamond. There was a man selling a diamond and he claimed it to be 1 carat but it was really only 1/2 . So, they just decided to buy a diamond from the jewler because  they were already there. This all happened Sept 11- 16th(I actually had to make the decision between the ½ carat and the other diamond during an intramural football game)  The ring was done on the 16th and Randall and Lori picked up the finished product. I knew all this was happening because, of course Kyle tells me EVERYTHING. On Saturday the 18th we met Randall and Lori in St. George to look at venues to have the luncheon and reception at. So, we meet them and get in the car with them to drive to one of the appointments we had. The first thing Kyle says to his mom is, “Hey can I have the ring?”(It was actually like the 5th or 6th thing I said) His mom took it out of her purse and just handed it to him with me sitting there. He opened it and looked at it… and said, “DO you wanna look?” I said, “yes, why wouldn’t I.”  and he said, “too bad” but in a nicer way(I wanted to show her the ring so bad, it was killing me). As the day continues he randomly pulls it out of his pocket and looks at it and keeps asking if I want it and if I want to try it on. Then he’d be like sorry I’ll give it to you sometime next week so it’ll at least be a surprise. ( J )
We got back up to Cedar around 6:00 and started to

watch the SUU homecoming game on TV and then

the BYU and U of U game. I fell asleep till 9:00

and it was a good thing that Kyle’s roommates came

in and woke me up because I would have slept all

night (Ya she was snoring pretty loud, I could

barely hear the game). As soon as I woke up Kyle

said, “You ready to go star gazing.” I said, “sure.”

He had talked about going a couple times previous

that week but we never had time. I wasn’t quite sure

if we should go because I was going to teach for 3

hours and hadn’t finished my lesson yet and needed

to finish getting everything togWe went out to Enoch to the park and baseball/softball field. When we got there the sprinklers were on so we went around to the opposite side and it kinda smelt bad like a skunk. (back tracking) I also knew Kyle had made me a scrapbook earlier that week and I knew he’d made it because we went to print off pictures at Wal-Mart and I was getting some pictures and Kyle said he wanted the same ones and so that was my first clue. Then he asked me if he could barrow my hole punch. After that I knew he was up to something (I couldn’t believe it when I asked for her hole punch and she said, “you’re making a scrapbook aren’t you.” Who connects asking for a hole punch to a scrap book). Back to the story… Kyle said I could look at the scrapbook and have it instead of the ring and that I’d at least get something that night. We laid a blanket down and with a flashlight we looked through the book titled “Kyle’s Greatest Moments, accompanied by Naomi.” I have a blog titled, Life’s Greatest Moments- By: Naomi” I was really impressed with Kyle’s skills (I did a lot of research on scrapbooks) . He had our pictures throughout the summer and for each one there was a cute saying and stickers that went perfectly with what we were doing in the pictures. I loved it, I really did. He’ll say that I didn’t but I did.(She did love it, after she got the ring J) You have to understand though, at the end there were stickers that had wedding sayings and in the very middle there was a diamond ring sticker in a box. I figured he’d then pull the ring out and propose then so I waited for a minute and he never did anything so I said, “ So where’s the ring? You can’t do all this stuff and not ask me now.” J Back tracking again, Before we left Kyle’s apartment I had to pee and Kyle had the ring box on his dresser. While I was peeing he took the jewelry box out of the box so I didn’t know he had it with him. So as we were leaving I was kind of bummed because I knew he was leaving the ring at his apartment. Kyle then said that he had told me all day that he wasn’t going to ask yet. I was like you have to but I knew that he’d left the ring.(She even patted me down to make sure I didn’t have the ring in my pockets, it made me sad to fool her like this because I knew she wanted it so bad.) We decided to that we’d just stay there till we both saw a shooting star. I saw mine first and then Kyle said, “ let’s go” and I said, “ no we can’t not yet, you haven’t seen your shooting star.” We laid there for a bit longer and were talking. Kyle asked me if I was disappointed that he didn’t propose and I told him that I was but it wasn’t a big deal because he had said he wasn’t going to. I understood and that I’d just wait. He then said, “let’s go” again and I said, “no” and Kyle got up to his knees and I was just laying there and he kept trying to get me up to go. Then he said that I needed to have more faith in him. I asked him, “What does that mean.” After I said that he reached for one of his shoes and took the jewelry ring box out. (It was in my shoe because when I left my apartment I put the ring in my jacket pocket because I knew if it was in my pocket Naomi would find it because I knew she would pat me down for it. Then when we were laying the blanket down and taking our shoes off to lay on the blanket I put the box in my shoe so she wouldn’t feel it in my jacket when we were snuggling.)He was so sneaky I had no idea. J He then made me stand up and he got down on one knee and said, “Naomi I love you. Will you marry me?” I said, “of course.” We kissed(For a long time, I tried to get her to stop after a while but when Naomi’s set on something she does what she wants), there has to be a kiss J we then folded the blanket and walked to the car and I called my parents and texted my siblings and that’s the story… oh, and my lessons on Sunday went pretty well. I was the happiest girl at church.
